Description
Scott County, Virginia is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to perform a general reassessment of approximately 21,500 taxable and non-taxable real estate parcels. The reassessment must be completed by December 31, 2027, and all properties are to be assessed at 100% of fair market value as of the effective date. The contractor will be responsible for visiting all properties, compiling a list of mobile homes, and providing appraisal cards and data compatible with the County's GIS and CAMA systems. The contractor must also provide assessment notices, assist the Board of Equalization, and provide testimony in any related legal proceedings. The County will provide support services including tax maps and property record cards. The contract will be awarded based on a competitive negotiation process, and the contractor must provide insurance and a performance and payment bond.
