Description
The City of Norton is soliciting bids from a single prime contractor for Southside Neighborhood Improvements Phase 2. The base bid includes approximately 430 linear feet of 10-inch waterline, 325 linear feet of 6-inch waterline, 311 linear feet of 2-inch waterline, nine gate valves, one air release valve, one blow-off valve, three fire hydrants, 12 water meter reconnections, and associated appurtenances. The project also includes approximately 314 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer, 619 linear feet of 6-inch gravity sewer, seven manholes, and associated appurtenances. Bids will be submitted on a lump-sum and unit-price basis. The project is funded through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development and is subject to applicable federal labor, nondiscrimination, disadvantaged-business, and domestic-preference requirements, including Davis-Bacon and Build America, Buy America requirements.
