Description
The Virginia Department of Energy is soliciting construction services for the Pen Hollow Landslide Project. The scope includes landslide stabilization; drainage, underdrain, culvert, riprap, gabion stone, erosion and sediment controls; relocation and reconnection of water lines and a water meter; access-road upgrades for off-road trucks; excavation, tree and stump removal, disposal-area preparation, surveys, and related site work. Additional work includes installation of a rock buttress, concrete canvas, roadside ditches, wooden safety fencing, a farm gate, paving, revegetation, and associated materials and inspection services. The bid schedule includes approximately 5,000 cubic yards of excavation, 1,300 linear feet of six-inch PVC water line, and multiple stone and riprap items. A mandatory prebid/proposal conference and site visit are referenced in the solicitation documents.
