Description
The National Forest Foundation is soliciting proposals from a prime consultant to lead an interdisciplinary team and prepare a forest-wide Environmental Assessment for the Shoshone National Forest. The scope includes project management, interdisciplinary coordination and meeting facilitation, review and use of existing data and GIS resources, technical writing, development of issues and analysis frameworks, design features and alternatives analysis, preparation of draft and final Environmental Assessments and a draft Finding of No Significant Impact, public-comment and objection-response support, and completion of the project and administrative records. The planning effort covers approximately 2,469,000 acres and addresses integrated restoration activities including vegetation and fuels management, silvicultural treatments, water-resource and aquatic restoration, wildlife habitat enhancement, and road and trail maintenance. The selected consultant must provide a technical proposal, qualifications and similar-project experience, three professional references, project personnel information, work plan and schedule, pricing by phase, information about current insurance coverage, and any required supporting materials. The majority of work will be remote, with potential travel and public meetings in Wyoming. The anticipated performance period is November 30, 2026, through November 30, 2028.
