Description
The Bureau of Reclamation is soliciting proposals for a 20-year concession contract to operate and maintain the Silos Recreation Area at Canyon Ferry Reservoir. The concessionaire will manage approximately 86 campsites, group shelters, boat docks, and related facilities, and provide campsite management, potable water, garbage removal, vault toilet maintenance, boat mooring, and on-site campground hosts. Authorized services include office and store sales, boat slip rentals, boat and watersport equipment rentals, propane sales, and firewood sales. The concessionaire must provide specified personal property, including an office building, vehicles, tools, a dock with at least 60 slips, a gangway, and a day-use fee kiosk. The contract is expected to begin in March 2027. Amendment 1 extends the proposal deadline to September 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
