Description
Jefferson County Sanitation Department is soliciting a contractor to provide comprehensive construction and demolition waste transfer, hauling, and disposal services from the Jefferson County Landfill. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, transfer trailers, roll-off containers or comparable equipment, drivers, fuel, permits, insurance, disposal fees, and management. The scope includes maintaining at least six serviceable containers of at least 30 cubic yards, exchanging and removing loaded containers, securing and covering loads, transporting approximately 36–50 tons weekly, and delivering materials only to approved, legally authorized facilities. The contractor must identify primary and alternate disposal facilities, provide facility permits and disposal-capacity documentation, furnish certified scale tickets and service records for each load, maintain backup equipment and drivers, comply with environmental and transportation regulations, and handle spills, rejected loads, and prohibited materials. The initial contract term is one year, with up to three additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. A 10% bid bond is required with the bid; a 100% payment and performance bond is required from the awarded contractor before contract execution. Bids must include the specified completed forms, facility and insurance documentation, three references, and a signed price sheet.
