Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking capability information from vendors able to provide recurring pickup, transport, treatment, and disposal of biomedical infectious, veterinary, chemotherapy, biological/pathological, sharps, and other contaminated waste. The contractor would also furnish and maintain reusable waste containers, smaller biohazard boxes, storage bins, and labels; provide urgent exchanges and Category A/B incident response; and supply manifests, disposal certificates, monthly activity reports, and spill reports when applicable. The VA supplies sharps containers. The stated performance structure is a base year plus four one-year option periods, with a performance period listed as February 15, 2027, to February 14, 2031. This is a sources-sought notice for market research, not a solicitation or request for binding offers. Interested vendors are asked to provide company information, a capability statement, and contact information; SAM registration is required to be considered.
