Description
The City of Providence, through the Providence Water Supply Board, is requesting qualifications from experienced firms to provide filter inspection and maintenance services under a five-year blanket contract, with an option for two additional years. The work supports eighteen conventional dual-bay gravity filters and may include annual backwash observations; comprehensive filter assessments every two years; filter asset-management planning; media evaluation, removal, disposal, and replacement; underdrain demolition and installation; testing; backwash optimization; disinfection; rehabilitation; construction; and related repair and capital-improvement recommendations. Firms must demonstrate at least 10 years of corporate experience, Rhode Island business registration, relevant municipal water-system experience, at least five recent similar municipal utility references, a project history covering at least 20 similar projects, qualified personnel including a Rhode Island-licensed professional engineer, confined-space experience and procedures, safety-program documentation and third-party safety-audit evidence, and applicable testing and calibration documentation. The initial response must include the required City forms, a signed cover letter, qualifications and experience information, project history, references, key-personnel information, organizational chart, resumes, and requested safety, compliance, and performance information. A performance and payment bond equal to 100% of each awarded project is required, but the solicitation states that bonding and insurance proof are not part of the initial submission unless later requested.
