Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for laundry and linen services supporting a Fisher House at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. The contractor would launder and process hospitality-grade linens, including towels, washcloths, bathmats, shower curtains, sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, pillow shams, blankets, comforters, and mattress pads. Fisher House linens must be processed separately from patient-care linen and in accordance with applicable Association for Linen Management, sanitation, infection-prevention, and VA standards. The anticipated requirement includes pickup of soiled linens and delivery of clean, wrapped or covered linens twice weekly, along with inventory control, packing slips and manifests, carts, emergency service response, sanitation procedures, inspections, and handling of contaminated or unserviceable items. Respondents to this Sources Sought notice must provide a capability statement containing business information, socioeconomic status, NAICS and business size, relevant past performance, and a narrative describing their ability to perform the work.
