The City of Rochester is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to develop a comprehensive master plan for mechanical improvements to the Rundel Memorial Library. This historic building, constructed in 1936, requires a thorough assessment of its existing mechanical systems, including HVAC, ventilation, and cooling systems, which currently utilize river water for cooling. The scope of work includes a summary of existing conditions and equipment surveys, a matrix of solution options, recommendations for phased implementation, conceptual scopes of work with cost estimates and timelines. The master plan will build upon prior assessments and must consider the building's historic nature and potential State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) review for any exterior changes.
