Description
The Finger Lakes DDSO is soliciting bids for the removal and disposal of 10 window sashes containing asbestos-containing material (ACM) at their MDC facility located at 620 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY 14620. This is a New York State public works project, and contractors must be licensed asbestos abatement contractors and adhere to prevailing wage requirements. The work includes providing all labor and materials for abatement, containment, removal of window sashes and trim, proper disposal of waste, installation of plywood blanks, and reinstallation of trim. The contractor is responsible for all notifications, fees, and compliance with relevant federal and state regulations, including NYSDOL Code Rule 56, 40 CFR Part 745, and OSHA standards. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with all sites cleaned and materials secured at the end of each workday. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Monday, June 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM, and attendance is required for bid validity. Bids are due by July 7, 2026.
