Description
This project involves cleaning and lining approximately 4.7 miles of water mains across various streets within the City of Rochester. The scope of work includes mechanically cleaning the interior of existing water mains to remove rust and debris, followed by applying a cement mortar lining to restore hydraulic capacity, improve fire flows, enhance water quality, and extend the lifespan of the mains. The contract also requires the provision and maintenance of a temporary bypass pipe system to ensure continuous water service and fire protection for affected customers during construction. Additionally, some existing water main valves and fire hydrants will be replaced, and all disturbed pavement, sidewalk, and lawn areas will be restored upon completion.
