Description
Kern High School District is soliciting proposals for the collective purchase and disposition of approximately 11,561 used and untested surplus technology items, including Chromebooks, desktop computers, monitors, projectors, printers, virtual-reality equipment, and related accessories. Respondents must price the entire lot and take 100% of the assets for which they propose. The equipment is sold as-is, with no returns, and quantities are estimates. The successful respondent must provide no-cost white-glove pickup or self-pack materials; palletize, secure, and load the equipment; perform inventory counts; provide badged, full-time employees who have Department of Justice background clearances; evaluate and grade each device; provide itemized evaluation reports; sanitize all devices to NIST 800-88 Rev. 1 standards or equivalent; provide destruction certificates when required; and provide an online asset-processing and payment-tracking tool. Respondents must hold current R2 or e-Stewards certification, submit at least three qualifying references, offer at least 70% of the Grade A value as a guaranteed minimum payment, provide a certified-check deposit of at least 50% of Grade A value at pickup, and pay the balance within the required payment period. The intended contract term is one year with up to four additional one-year extensions.
