Description
Chesapeake Public Schools seeks one or more qualified, licensed engineering firms to provide mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services on an as-needed basis for school projects. Work may include studies and reports; planning and design; preparation of plans, specifications, and bid documents; project and construction management; construction administration and inspections; bid evaluation; and related services for HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, and plumbing systems. Individual project scopes and fees will be negotiated as project orders arise, and the District does not guarantee any minimum number of assignments. Proposals should describe the firm's relevant technical experience, qualifications and proposed team, management and quality-control approach, current workload, and financial stability. The solicitation also requests resumes for personnel, experience on three to five similar projects completed within the past seven years, audited financial reports or other financial-status documentation, applicable engineering licenses and credentials, insurance documentation, and other specified proposal information. The contract is intended to begin upon award and run through January 31, 2028, with up to three mutually agreed one-year extensions.
