Binghamton University is soliciting bids for a commercial-grade gym floor protection system and comprehensive handling/maintenance accessories. The procurement includes heavy-duty protective floor coverings in two distinct sizes, a heavy-duty mobile storage rack, an automated brush cleaning system, a high-capacity power winder, a walk-behind tape dispenser, and a bulk supply of seaming tape. Installation services are not included in this solicitation; only equipment and materials are being procured. The protective floor covering requires a minimum of 32,130 square feet for the primary coverage area, divided into 27 sections of 10 ft. x 119 ft., and a secondary coverage area of at least 2,160 square feet, divided into 3 sections of 10 ft. x 72 ft. The material must be commercial-grade, heavy-duty protective facility floor cover fabric with a performance tier equivalent to Premium 27 oz. The solicitation also calls for three heavy-duty wheeled steel storage and deployment carts, each capable of holding a minimum of 10 roller systems for the cover sections. Additionally, three single-brush cleaning systems designed to mount to the storage racks for debris removal during winding, one motorized 110-Volt power winder rated for heavy-duty commercial use (capable of winding over 2,500 lbs), one manual walk-behind tape dispenser for 3-inch wide seaming tape, and four cartons (64 rolls total) of premium-grade 3-inch wide by 36-yard long floor cover seaming tape are required.
