Description
The Tobyhanna Army Depot is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather details on commercially available mobile cranes with a minimum 100-ton capacity and a 150-foot boom. The crane will be used for the movement of large Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems and assemblies within the depot infrastructure. Key specifications include a minimum load capacity of 100 U.S. tons, a gross vehicle weight not exceeding 130,000 lbs, and stowed travel dimensions not exceeding 14ft in height, 12ft in width, and 50ft in length. The crane must be powered by a Tier 4F diesel engine or latest EPA compliant configuration, feature a hydraulic system with overload protection and intake filters, and have a boom extension capability of at least 150ft. The electrical system should be 24VDC, and the crane must be equipped with a wheeled mobility system for rough terrain. The control system must include a Rated Capacity Limiter (RCL), an anti-two-block system, and a display showing critical load and operational data. Lifting equipment includes a 12 U.S. ton single line headache ball and a 90 U.S. ton hook block. The crane should employ an automatic transmission with at least 5 speeds forward and reverse, and have power-assisted hydraulic brakes. Accessories required include a fully equipped operator cab, appropriate counterweight, LED lighting package, and various instrumentation. The RFI also requests information on maintenance schedules, spare parts availability, and support services, as well as capabilities for providing turnkey solutions including training and after-sales support.
