Description
This project involves the cyclic replacement of deteriorating carpet in the Visitor Center Exhibit Area at Mammoth Cave National Park. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of approximately 2,300 square feet of existing carpet, 290 linear feet of cove base, 63 linear feet of transition strips, and 22 linear feet of stair nosing. The contractor will be responsible for subfloor preparation, including adhesive removal, patching, and moisture testing, followed by the installation of new 2'x2' commercial carpet tiles with low-VOC adhesives. The project also requires the installation of new cove base, transition strips, and stair nosing. All existing exhibits, benches, and free-standing furnishings must be protected, documented, and reinstalled in their original locations. The work is to be completed within 40 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. The contract is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
