Description
Pellston Public Schools is soliciting bids for a project that includes the removal of existing hallway carpeting and adhesive, followed by the installation of a new epoxy flooring finish at Pellston Middle/High School. The work will take place at 172 Park Street, Pellston, MI 49769. Bids must be submitted to the Office of the Superintendent by 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Pellston Public Schools Carpet Removal/Epoxy Finish Project". Key aspects of the project include removing existing carpet and adhesive, preparing the concrete surface to receive new epoxy flooring, and applying the new epoxy flooring system. The RFP specifies requirements for the epoxy flooring system, including primer, pigmented base coat, metallic coat, and top coat, with specific product data and application procedures to be followed. Contractors are responsible for taking removed carpet off-site and for any damage caused during construction. A pre-bid project review meeting is scheduled for June 23, 2026, at 2:30 PM on-site at the Central Office, 172 Park St., Pellston, MI.
