Description
The City University of New York seeks a contractor to provide pre-employment background investigations on an as-needed basis for approximately 7,000 reports annually. Required services include Social Security and address verification, employment-history verification, national and state criminal-record searches, sex-offender-registry searches, and city or county criminal-record searches. Reports must cover up to the prior 15 years, or since the subject turned 18, whichever is shorter, and standard reports must generally be delivered electronically within seven days. The contractor must support secure electronic or password-protected PDF reporting, nationwide and U.S. territory searches, and international checks when needed. Additional services may include employment-related credit reports, professional reference checks, social-media screening, and international background checks. Bidders must provide financial information, required licenses and certifications, evidence of at least five years of experience, five similar engagements including three for higher-education institutions and two current engagements, database information, legal-access certification, workforce information, report samples, security-process information, dispute-resolution procedures, current workload, technology requirements, training information, request and consent forms, and professional affiliations. The contract is a three-year requirements contract, with services performed offsite. The procurement is reserved for New York State-certified service-disabled veteran-owned businesses.
