Description
The Suffolk County Water Authority is seeking a vendor to provide the 3M Fall Protection Authorized Person Comprehensive Course, Course 6418, for approximately 15 employees. The one-day, eight-hour course covers fall hazard identification, working at height, fall protection oversight, passive, restraint, and arrest systems, anchor points, harness fitting and inspection, connectors, equipment care, rescue requirements, system selection and setup, and dropped-object protection. Participants must complete workbook exercises and practical skills sessions and achieve at least 70% on a closed-book written test to receive a certificate of completion. The vendor must provide all related course materials, register SCWA employees, coordinate scheduling, and provide an appropriate training location or other suitable accommodation. SCWA may increase or decrease the number of trainees at a prorated per-employee price and does not guarantee a minimum or maximum quantity. Proposals must include the proposed training description and training-site location or alternative accommodation, along with the required price and solicitation documents.
