Description
Wayne County is seeking an individual or agency to provide dietitian/nutritionist services for nutrition programs serving older adults. The scope includes developing and reviewing five-week cycle menus and standardized recipes; certifying compliance with applicable nutrition and food-safety standards; maintaining menus and recipes in an online database; conducting nutrient analysis; advising subcontractors on recipes, purchasing, quality and quantity control, food handling, equipment, inventory, and operations; monitoring meal sites and production facilities; participating in home-delivered-meal ride-alongs; and preparing monthly reports and nutrition education materials. The contractor must provide nutrition education and counseling to older adults, staff, volunteers, and the public; support sanitation, temperature-control, and meal-delivery training; attend required food-safety training; and monitor compliance with state and federal nutrition standards. Some work may be performed remotely, but on-site work is also required. The proposer must hold applicable New York State credentials as a Registered Dietitian, Certified Nutrition Specialist, or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist, and must have a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable vehicle. Proposals must include a project narrative and work plan, qualifications and resumes, three relevant references, completed proposal forms, cost information, and required certifications and insurance documentation.
