Description
The City of Chesapeake is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of providing emergency feeding services for city-operated shelters when an emergency extends beyond the initial 72-hour period. The anticipated services include preparing, packaging, and delivering continental-style breakfasts and hot dinners to multiple active shelter sites, with vegetarian and basic dietary-restriction meals available as requested. Vendors should address production capacity, equipment and food-industry certifications, relevant experience, packaging and temperature-control practices, delivery logistics, scalability, storage considerations, dietary accommodation processes, pricing approaches, minimum order quantities, and activation lead times. The RFI is for information-gathering purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, commitment to purchase, or promise of award.
