Description
Los Alamos County seeks a qualified contractor to operate a public food pantry for County residents. Services must provide a wide variety of safe, nutritious food; emergency food assistance for eligible residents; and a local storage point for food products. The contractor must follow federal poverty guidelines for determining eligibility, provide necessary personnel, coordinate with partnering agencies, and use the Unite Us referral and care-coordination platform or a County-designated replacement. The contractor will provide food distribution services as needed, submit quarterly service-impact reports, and submit annual financial reports within 90 days after its fiscal year end. The contractor will use approximately 400 square feet in the lower level of the Los Alamos Community Building, provide security and supervision, comply with applicable health, safety, fire, and County requirements, and pay for its own alarm, telephone, internet, and cable services. Quotes must include pricing for each potential year of a contract term of up to seven years, along with the requested qualifications, experience, staff information, licenses and certifications, County responsibilities, required forms, and any proposed deviations or exceptions.
