Description
The Rochester City School District is soliciting sealed bids for a water treatment program covering air-conditioning systems, including chillers, condenser-water systems, and chilled-glycol systems, as well as steam and hot-water boiler systems across numerous district facilities. The scope includes supplying treatment chemicals; providing, installing, maintaining, and removing necessary chemical-feed and water-treatment equipment; supplying dispensers, test kits, testing equipment, water softeners, salt, and start-up chemicals; and delivering products within seven calendar days of authorized orders while maintaining at least a three-month inventory at each location. The contractor must perform inspections, monthly sampling and testing, periodic hot-water boiler testing, twice-yearly demonstrations and training, written and electronic service reporting, Legionella testing and control in accordance with New York State Department of Health requirements, corrective actions, recordkeeping, and emergency on-site technical assistance within two hours when requested. Bidders must be manufacturers or duly authorized representatives, provide qualified personnel and licensed technicians, submit product literature and technical data, provide Safety Data Sheets for applicable hazardous chemicals, and complete the district’s proposal forms, non-collusive certification, vendor application, W-9, questionnaire, and pricing attachments. The initial term runs through June 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year extensions.
