Description
Atlantic County is soliciting additional providers to furnish and deliver approximately 300–400 perishable food items, including produce, dairy products, meats, baked goods, beverages, salads, refrigerated items, nutritional supplements, and other food products. The supplies support an operation preparing up to 1,800 meals daily. Vendors may quote on any or all items within purchase groups and must meet the specified pack sizes, brands where applicable, delivery schedules, food-safety requirements, and product-quality standards. Highly perishable items require delivery six times weekly, while other items require weekly delivery. Deliveries must be made to the Central Commodities Distribution warehouse, and vendors must provide timely redelivery for rejected, incorrect, or missing items. The opportunity establishes a list of participating vendors rather than issuing a single contract or guaranteeing a minimum purchase. Purchase orders will be issued based on successful quotes and actual operational needs. Vendors must be established food distributors; vendors not already on the approved list must submit at least two recent food-service references with contact names and phone numbers. The contract timeframe is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027.
