Description
The City of Rochester is soliciting proposals for comprehensive professional construction management services for the modernization of the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. The scope includes pre-construction and constructability reviews, bid and award support, construction management, resident project representative services, construction inspection, contract administration, project scheduling and cost controls, quality assurance, testing coordination, labor and MWBE compliance support, commissioning, closeout, and warranty-period services. The modernization includes renovations to exhibit halls, ballrooms, meeting rooms, public spaces, kitchen and food-service areas, MEP and life-safety systems, technology and audiovisual systems, FF&E, skyways, the exterior envelope, security systems, and ADA accessibility. The consultant must coordinate construction phasing with ongoing convention-center operations, maintain project risk, cost, schedule, change, and compliance records, and provide qualified management, inspection, scheduling, cost, document-control, and specialty personnel. The total project budget is $59,600,000, with construction anticipated from summer 2028 through summer 2032 and professional services continuing through the two-year guarantee inspection period and closeout.
