Description
The Peoria Park District is soliciting bids for 2,000 bales of grass hay weighing at least 45 pounds each, 1,000 bales of pure alfalfa hay weighing at least 55 pounds each, and 30 bales of straw. Hay must be second cutting, mold-free, twine-tied, free of debris and bugs, and suitable for livestock and exotic-animal consumption. Mixed grass-and-alfalfa bales are not accepted, and bidders must identify the grass mixture and provide prices on the bid form. The successful vendor will deliver the goods in four to five loads throughout the year, unload them, and stack the bundles in designated areas using the vendor’s equipment. Prices must include all costs, including materials, labor, and delivery. The District may reject products that do not meet the specifications.
