Description
The City is soliciting bids to lease approximately 51.61 acres of airport property for growing, cutting, baling, and removing grass for hay. The land is divided into three separately priced areas: two available agricultural areas and one temporary area that may be withheld or withdrawn for airport needs. Bidders must provide a separate annual lease amount for each area; the City may award areas individually or in combination. Agricultural use is subject to airport operations and safety requirements, including restrictions on access, equipment, structures, irrigation, and activity in designated restricted areas. The lease term is five years, from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2031, with no automatic renewal. The successful bidder must maintain required insurance throughout the lease term, including $1,000,000 general liability and $1,000,000 automobile liability coverage, and name the City as an additional insured.
