The City of Atlanta, through the Department of Watershed Management, plans a multi-step sealed-bid procurement beginning with a prequalification phase and followed by an Invitation for Bid for a qualified Progressive Design-Builder. The anticipated scope includes design, preconstruction, and construction services for improvements to the Peachtree Raw Water Pump Station. Work includes rehabilitating and replacing pumps, valves, piping, HVAC, electrical distribution, instrumentation and controls, structural and architectural components, and related equipment in Pump Buildings 1 and 2. The contractor will also evaluate raw water main alternatives, design and potentially install a dedicated raw water main, perform surveys and geotechnical investigations, develop BIM models and design documents, coordinate phased construction while maintaining pump-station operations, and provide testing, commissioning, training, closeout documentation, and one year of post-acceptance support. Firms must demonstrate relevant Progressive Design-Build or comparable water-infrastructure experience and the capacity to perform professional design, engineering, construction, project management, and Guaranteed Maximum Price development.
