Description
The Weatherford Municipal Utility System is soliciting a contractor to furnish planning, supervision, labor, supplies, tools, equipment, disposal, and transportation for overhead and underground electric distribution line construction. The scope includes constructing, modifying, repairing, and demolishing electric distribution lines and facilities, along with related maintenance and emergency operations. WMUS will provide line-construction materials from its warehouse; the contractor must provide equipment, tools, fuel, employee personal protective equipment, transportation, and other operational supplies. The contractor must have at least 15 years of specialized electric utility construction experience, including at least five years in the north-central Texas region, and must provide references from other electric utilities. Crews must be locally based, include at least one qualified lineman, and comply with applicable OSHA, ANSI, NFPA 70E, and National Electrical Safety Code requirements. The contract uses unit pricing for most work and hourly rates for authorized emergency, special, or after-hours work. The initial term is one calendar year, with two additional one-calendar-year renewal options. Required bid materials include the Summary of Bid Proposal, Conflict of Interest Questionnaire, bid bond, addenda, insurance certificate, utility references, Texas Government Code verifications, and completed bidding forms.
