Description
Brunswick County is soliciting proposals for receiving, loading, transporting, processing, and marketing electronic equipment and associated materials collected from County convenience sites and delivered to the Brunswick County Landfill. Materials include computers and peripherals, office equipment, televisions, wiring, batteries, and other electronics. The contractor must provide collection equipment and supplies, collect materials within five business days of notification, provide packaging and loading instructions, document weights, and manage reuse and recycling through domestic markets whenever possible, using export markets only when domestic recycling is unavailable. The contractor must maintain R2 or e-Stewards certification and submit proof with the proposal. The response must include a detailed service and implementation plan, company information, personnel and subcontractor qualifications, pricing, relevant project references, sorting and loading procedures, certification documentation, and a certificate of insurance. The contract is expected to have a one-year initial term with two successive one-year renewal options.
