Description
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting sealed bids for general construction at Leavenworth National Cemetery. The base bid includes expansion of in-ground gravesites and columbarium niches, construction of Columbarium 3 and its plaza, roads and drainage improvements, a detention pond, parking, drives, walkways, irrigation, landscaping, signage, utilities, erosion controls, demolition, restoration, and related site work. The project must maintain active cemetery operations, visitor and staff access, traffic control, construction safety, and coordination with ongoing interments and concurrent contracts. An optional bid item covers administration building and site improvements, including building expansion and renovations, parking and cortege-lane work, temporary office and restroom trailers, utilities, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, technology, signage, and related structural and architectural work. The anticipated completion period is 540 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed, and all option work must fit within that period if exercised. Amendment 0001 extends the bid deadline to September 28, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. CDT, adds revised drawings and specifications, incorporates safety requirements, publishes RFI responses and the site-visit roster, and requires acknowledgment of the amendment. The solicitation remains a total SDVOSB set-aside and requires completion of the limitations-on-subcontracting certification with the bid.
