Description
Durham County is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a 28,895-square-foot Utilities Administration Building at 6001 NC Highway 55 in Durham, North Carolina. The project includes offices, training rooms, storage, mechanical spaces, a gym and wellness area, exterior site work, structural steel, masonry and metal cladding, interior finishes, casework, doors, roofing, canopies, security systems, audiovisual and information-technology systems, solar-related work, and electric-vehicle charging infrastructure. A 9,150-square-foot warehouse is available as Alternate G-1. Addendum No. 3 confirms a 420-calendar-day contract duration and revises specifications and drawings, including a 116.62-kilowatt DC rooftop photovoltaic system with 75 kilowatts of AC export, structured Category 6A copper and fiber-optic cabling, condensing boilers, a BDA system allowance of $180,000, and revised rock-removal unit prices and allowances. The addendum also confirms that all EV-charger electrical infrastructure is part of the base bid, while the chargers are Alternate OP-2. Required bid materials include the bid form, notarized non-collusion affidavit, vendor application/W-9, bid deposit, power of attorney when submitting a bid bond, notarized E-Verify affidavit, and addendum acknowledgment.
