Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services, on behalf of the Iowa Veterans Home, is soliciting bids for as-needed concrete repair, maintenance, installation, replacement, and related services. The scope includes ADA-compliant ramps and sidewalks, curbs and gutters, drainage features, bollards, trip-hazard correction, concrete demolition and disposal, trench backfill, related asphalt work, concrete block walls, brick pavers, and masonry surfaces. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, disposal, permits, and other resources necessary for authorized work orders. Incidental services may include restoration of landscaping and irrigation, fences and handrails, and trees or other plant materials disturbed by the work. Work will occur at an active long-term care facility and must minimize disruption while maintaining safe access, comply with applicable accessibility and construction requirements, and include a minimum one-year workmanship and materials warranty. The contract provides for as-needed services with no guaranteed minimum or maximum quantity, volume, or dollar amount. Bidders must provide percentage markups for concrete, asphalt, specialty materials, and equipment rentals, along with standard, overtime, double-overtime, and project-manager labor rates. The response requires completion of online bid questions, including experience, terms and conditions, insurance, and payment terms; a completed Terminations, Litigation and Debarment document; and the applicable Form 22 confidentiality submission.
