Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, is soliciting the design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of newly manufactured one-piece solid blade seals for five-bladed vertical-axis Kaplan turbines. The base requirement covers the Powerhouse II Main Unit 16 turbine at Bonneville Lock and Dam, with an optional second set for Unit 17. The seals must have redundant sealing edges, no split, and be field-molded solid at the site. Gluing, cold bonding, and hot bonding with additional material are prohibited. The contractor must verify final dimensions before delivery and installation and provide all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, accessories, and required documentation, except for items specifically identified as government-furnished.
