Description
The City of Vancouver is soliciting a contractor to clean, prepare, and rehabilitate 20 previously lined 48-inch sewer manholes for corrosion prevention using an epoxy- or polyurethane-based lining system, such as Raven 405 or an approved equal. The work includes inspecting and repairing structural defects and leaks, preparing surfaces, applying a minimum 125-mil lining, and performing post-construction CCTV inspection, holiday or pull testing, and repairs to deficient areas. The lining must withstand sulfuric acid and hydrogen sulfide, contain little to no VOCs, be suitable for wet-environment installation, and cure in less than 24 hours. The contractor must provide traffic control, confined-space safety, flow diversion or bypass pumping, equipment and product submittals, and required inspection videos. The work must be physically complete within 25 working days after the Notice to Proceed. The engineer's estimate is $230,000. A performance and payment bond in the full contract amount is required because the project exceeds $35,000; no bid bond is required.
