Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires one 50–60-ton rough-terrain, truck-mounted, or equivalent crane with an operator to support a gate fit test at W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir. The contractor must safely lift and place a stoplog at the dam outlet tailrace, including smaller lifts as needed, and provide a crane load chart demonstrating at least 11,500 pounds of capacity at a 55-foot radius. The scope includes crane rental, mobilization and demobilization, straight-time operator labor, and potential overtime operator labor for up to four days, with operating windows of up to 12 hours per day. The offeror must identify the proposed crane’s manufacturer, model, and tonnage; provide the official load chart; and submit the operator’s valid crane certification and current physical examination certificate. Performance also requires applicable lift planning and safety documentation, including an Activity Hazard Analysis, Standard Lift Plan, and signed Load Handling Equipment and Rigging Certificate. The contract period is October 13–16, 2026, and the requirement is evaluated on technical acceptability and price, with award to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror.
