Description
Forsyth County is soliciting bids from qualified, experienced, and licensed firms to provide on-call emergency and non-emergency repairs for existing water and sewer lines and associated appurtenances within the unincorporated areas of the county. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, tools, and materials as needed, respond to repair notifications within two hours, inspect sites, perform repairs, provide traffic control, and complete excavation, installation, temporary restoration, cleanup, landscaping, and road repairs when applicable. Work may involve water service lines from three-quarter-inch lines through 48-inch water mains and sewer lines from four-inch lines through 36-inch sewer mains. Services must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, including emergency work. Contractors and subcontractors must maintain applicable Georgia utility contractor and utility foreman licenses. The bid schedule requests hourly rates for supervisors, crew members, trucks, excavators, skid steers, trailers, jetter trucks, pumps, and other equipment for calendar years 2027, 2028, and 2029. Bidders must submit the bid schedule in both PDF and Excel formats, references, required affidavits and acknowledgments, and a separate list of available equipment not already listed in the bid schedule. Payment and performance bonds are required for task orders valued at $100,000 or more. The County is not obligated to issue a minimum number of repair orders or spend a minimum amount.
