Description
Scott County Public School District is soliciting sealed bids for a full-time Deaf Interpreter for the 2026–2027 academic year. The vendor must provide an interpreter for an individual student for 5.5 hours per day, monitor student progress, report findings through IEP meetings, furnish personnel and consultation as needed, bill Medicaid, and provide other services determined appropriate by the Special Education Supervisor. The interpreter must hold at least VQAS Level III, an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher, or national Certified Deaf Interpreter certification. Travel will be reimbursed at the district’s stated rate of $0.625 per mile. The agreement is scheduled to begin September 7, 2026, with four additional one-year renewal options. The awarded vendor must provide insurance for personnel, comply with applicable Virginia requirements concerning sex offenders on school property, provide written statements for personnel working on school property, and maintain a drug-free workforce. Vendors must have an available qualified candidate; vendors without one are instructed not to apply.
