Description
The Texas A&M University System Office of Facilities Planning & Construction, on behalf of the Board of Regents and Texas A&M University, is seeking statements of qualifications from an Architect/Engineer firm for a new approximately 68,890-gross-square-foot West Campus Vivarium in College Station, Texas. The facility will include extensive cage-wash areas, large- and small-capacity animal holding rooms, and procedure rooms supporting research activities. The project must support current and future research needs and comply with applicable USDA, NIH Public Health Service, and AAALAC requirements. The scope also includes relocating research and administrative functions from the existing Laboratory Animal Care Building, hazardous-material abatement, and demolition of that building after vacancy. The project planning amount is $135,000,000, including an Amount Available for Construction Contract of $98,477,732. This Request for Qualifications is the first step in selecting a firm; the owner may invite the three or more highest-ranked qualified respondents to interviews. Qualifications must be submitted through e-Builder.
