Description
Macon-Bibb County is requesting proposals for immediate roadside assistance for its vehicles. Required services include wrecker services, towing vehicles to the County's Vehicle Maintenance Department, winching and extraction for vehicle recovery, flat-tire changes using serviceable spare tires, and tire-related assistance. The contractor must provide all tools and equipment, toll-free emergency-service numbers, and service limited to Macon-Bibb County vehicles. Services must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with responses to emergency calls within 30 minutes of notification. Proposals must include pricing for wrecker services, winching and extraction, flat-tire changes, and tire repair, along with a company overview, qualifications, technical approach, implementation plan, communication protocols, references, and required qualification and compliance forms. A bid bond of at least 5% of the total base bid is required; payment and performance bonds of 100% of the contract price are required when the anticipated contract price exceeds $5,000. Insurance requirements include statutory workers' compensation, $1,000,000 errors and omissions coverage, and $1,000,000 general liability coverage.
