Description
Middle Georgia State University is seeking statements of qualifications from electrical contractors to provide task-order contractor and design-build services for small electrical repair, maintenance, installation, and construction projects across its campuses. Potential work includes panel and circuit work, lighting, low-voltage coordination, cost estimating, value engineering, design analysis, constructability reviews, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality assurance, and project closeout. The university expects to award at least three task-order contracts, with assignments issued on an as-needed, blanket-order basis and a maximum aggregate award amount of $2,000,000. The contract may have an initial one-year term with up to three additional one-year extensions. Contractors must meet mandatory qualification requirements, including at least five years in business, relevant university experience in an urban setting, an office within 120 miles of the main campus, a State of Georgia Electrical Contractor's Class II (Unrestricted) license, recent litigation and default disclosures, work-authorization compliance, sufficient bonding capacity, Builder's Risk insurance, and compliance with applicable insurance requirements. The initial response is a written Statement of Qualifications submitted electronically; shortlisted firms will provide an in-person presentation and later submit a sealed financial offer during the interview process.
