Description
Chatham County is soliciting bids for removal and replacement of approximately 1,800 square feet of existing concrete beneath the aquatic center entrance canopy. The work includes subgrade preparation, a moisture barrier, a minimum four-inch-thick 3,000-PSI reinforced concrete slab, grading, control joints, and a broom finish; existing canopy footers must remain intact. The contractor must also install an underground drainage system for roof downspouts, including sealed PVC piping, downspout connections, positive slope, discharge to daylight, water testing, and inspection of the buried pipe layout before concrete placement. The solicitation requires completion within 90 days after the 10-day period following the Notice to Proceed. Required submissions include the fillable Attachments A–I, the online pricing sheet, a List of Subcontractors, and references. The package also establishes a 30% combined M/WBE participation goal, with good-faith-effort documentation permitted where the goal is not met.
