Description
The County of Schenectady is soliciting bids for the replacement of kitchen doors at the Schenectady County Jail, located at 320 Veeder Ave., Schenectady, NY 12307. This project will involve a single prime contract. Digital copies of the specifications can be obtained from BidNet Direct at www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york or by emailing a request to the Purchasing Department at purchasing@schenectadycountyny.gov. Paper copies can be picked up at the Purchasing Department, 2nd Floor, Schenectady County Office Building, 620 State Street, Schenectady, New York, 12305, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on weekdays, provided a request is submitted via email 24 hours in advance. A pre-bid walkthrough is scheduled for June 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Schenectady County Jail, 320 Veeder Ave., Schenectady, NY 12307. Interested parties should meet in the facility's lobby. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Bid" and clearly stating "Schenectady County Jail Kitchen Door Replacement, RFB-2026-19," to the Purchasing Agent no later than June 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Bid security must accompany each bid as described in the General Instructions to Bidders. Woman and minority-owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
