Description
Queen's University is requesting architectural services to transform Ontario Hall, a designated heritage building of approximately 5,156 square metres over five floors, into a state-of-the-art teaching and learning facility with enhanced accessibility. The study will address existing building conditions and deficiencies, verify as-built information, develop space programming for five signature learning environments and supporting spaces, and create an overall innovation concept. Required deliverables include at least 30 conceptual design drawing sheets, a coordinated BIM model at LOD 200, three comparative main-entrance accessibility solutions, at least 12 professional renderings, a video walkthrough, implementation phasing options, ROM/Class D cost estimates, a comprehensive business case, and marketing materials. Project completion is scheduled for July 31, 2027. The capital implementation budget will be determined through the study.
