Description
The Village of Carpentersville is soliciting proposals for the Public Works Facility Improvements - Phase 1 project. This project involves various demolition and removal of existing on-site materials, including an Underground Storage Tank (UST) system fueling upgrade. Additional work includes minor mass grading adjustments, underground utility and fuel piping improvements, construction of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavement, curb and gutter installation, and permanent site restoration. A Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total proposal must be submitted with each proposal, as per the Illinois Department of Transportation's "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction". The solicitation also emphasizes adherence to minimum salary and wage requirements and non-discrimination in employment practices. The Village reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all proposals.
