Description
The Town of Durham is soliciting bids for the Shady Lane Reconstruction project. This project primarily involves full-depth roadway construction, retaining wall construction, and storm drainage construction. Bids will be accepted on a lump sum and unit price basis. Bidding documents are available for free download from the project's bidding service webpage at http://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/27674/home. A non-refundable $50 fee to the bidding service is required to submit an electronic bid. Printed copies will not be issued by the Town. A pre-bid conference will be held on June 24, 2026, at 9:00 AM local time at the Issuing Office (Durham Town Hall, 30 Town House Road, Durham, CT 06422). Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of five percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent of the Contract Price. This contract is subject to state compliance requirements, including nondiscrimination statutes and spending allocation goals for Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and Minority, Women, and/or Disabled-owned businesses (M/W/DisBE).
