Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires on-site document shredding services for the Chicago Regional Office, located at 2122 W. Taylor St., Chicago, IL 60612. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and supplies necessary for secure and confidential shredding of paper documents, in compliance with VA Directive 6371. Services include monthly scheduled shredding and unscheduled shredding upon request with 72 hours' notice. The contract includes a base period of 12 months with four 1-year option periods. The contractor must provide interim destruction on-site and final destruction either on-site or off-site at a NAID-certified facility, with appropriate certifications of destruction provided. Background investigations (Low Risk for employees, Moderate Risk for managers/directors) are required for all contractor personnel accessing VA facilities, systems, or sensitive information.
