Description
The Town of Penfield is requesting qualifications from firms to provide architectural, engineering, and design services for improvements to its public library. The project may involve renovating the existing library or demolishing it and constructing a new facility. The proposed library is expected to be approximately 30,000–40,000 square feet, compared with the current library area of 28,880 square feet. The scope includes programming and schematic design options, renderings, design development, architectural and engineering drawings, construction documents, permitting and approval applications, bidding assistance, addenda, pre-bid and public bid-opening support, conformed documents, and construction administration. Design disciplines may include site/civil, architectural, structural, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, lighting, fire safety, and security systems. Respondents must demonstrate relevant experience, key personnel and organizational structure, project approach, subcontractor coordination, and comparable project references. The selected consultant is expected to support the project through design and construction phases.
