Description

Collier County is seeking qualified vendors for a pool contract to provide beach and waterway maintenance services on an as-needed basis. The scope includes beach cleaning and surface maintenance; beach access and walkover maintenance; signage and appurtenance work; vegetation management; sand excavation, hauling, placement, dune construction, and renourishment; waterway, channel, and inlet maintenance; non-structural stabilization and erosion control; drainage maintenance; and emergency response. Vendors must furnish labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, permits, and incidentals, and must hold applicable Florida licenses, including a General Contractor or Marine Contractor license where applicable. The County expects to award a three-year agreement with two one-year renewal options to one or more qualified vendors. Work will be assigned through subsequent requests for quotes or emergency purchase orders, with no guaranteed minimum quantity. Initial qualifications responses will not include pricing and will be evaluated on a 100-point basis covering the cover letter/management summary, firm experience and capacity, responsiveness, and an emergency response plan. The emergency response plan is limited to five pages. Historically, County departments have spent approximately $500,000 annually, although this is not indicative of future buying patterns.
